<div style="text-align: justify;">
In today’s technically advanced world, one cannot live without a smartphone. Approximately all smart phones at the moment come under the operating system category of Android or iOS. Out of the two, the consumers of Android amongst the entire market of smart phone users are absolutely higher than iOS. This is mainly due to the reason that the smartphone devices which utilize Android are higher in figure and are mixed in varieties facilitating more smartphone audience to choose for phones with Android rather than preferring the tedious iPhone devices. <br /><br />By using Android platform for smartphones the user interface not only becomes user friendly but in turn makes the outlook of the smartphone more urbane. The choices which are obtainable in a smart phone which has Android as its OS is augmented with mutual characteristics and there are huge number of Android app developers voluntarily accessible to enlarge applications for commerce and other self-regulating consumers. There are also self-sufficient <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm" target="_blank">Android app programmer</a> who have been producing applications for this mobile technology and have been separately making them in public to Google Play. These developers increase awareness from audience when their apps obtain popularity for their faultless functioning and attractive outlook. Income can be produced from these famous apps and games by <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm" target="_blank">Android app developer</a> becomes admired enough to acquire the interest of products or services to be promoted in them. <br /><br />These independent App developing firms earn in huge amount of revenue by letting other service or product firm to post their respective ads. This has prepared numerous self-sufficient developers into huge commercial venture and big time development firms in the fields of Android app development. Android enhances the performance of the smartphones. The developers who are scheduling to build any sort of apps or games for the Android technology can establish their practice of growth by means of the Java programming language and despite the fact that at first the procedure of development could be done in a ancient method and additional add-ons and extensions could be used so that the developments that are done match up to the competition which is prevalent today in the Android market.<br /><br />The software development kit for android development consists of various components which are required for seamless integration and development of an application. These are a few of the features which have finished the procedure of construction applications for the Android technology a very undemanding assignment. And this is one of the grounds for which the technology to develop so enormously in such a small period of time.<br /><br /></div>

The wait for iPhone 5 has been long and tedious but the
speculations make the wait exciting. With 50% of mobile subscribers owning
smart phones the expectation, for Apple iPhone 5 to hit the market and increase
the number of smart phone users further, is definitely not low.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Apple’s Intention</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Apple is believed to intend to increase its share of number
of users using smart phones into multiple times with its release of iPhone 5.
Statistics show that 50.4% of all mobile users are using smart phones and that
number has been further classified into the Operating Systems being used.
Amongst smart phone users 48% seem to be using the Android platform, 32% seem
to be using the iOS platform and the rest seem to use the Blackberry and other
miscellaneous platforms.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
With this statistical report confirming Apple a second
place, Apple is now keen on multiplying the number by adding attributes to the
iPhone 5 which will improve the already surrounding excitement. And iPhone app
developers are looking and scavenging for each and every minute detail which
will help them to be on their toes when the phone gets released.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Expectations Rise due
to Other Phones</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
With the release of another much awaited phone which was
expected to be as good as iPhone 5, the expectation for iPhone 5 has only
increased. As that phone has not met the requirements and the expectations
users are eagerly looking forward for the release of the iPhone 5. Apple is
expected to upgrade to a 1Gb RAM only and not a 2GB RAM as the processor which
is believed to come along is a A5X or A6 processor (possibly quad-core).</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The display is expected to be bigger than, the last version
and, the other smart phones available in the market. <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" target="_blank">iPhone app developers</a> are
looking forward to developing applications with respect to the display which is
believed to be better than the already existing Retina Display which now has a
crystal clear display which makes the user read, see and watch with hundreds of
pixels more.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Apple’s Quest for
iPhone5.com Domain</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Apple seems to have filed a case with World Intellectual
Property Organization to gain access to the domain name iPhone5.com. Currently
this domain is being used by a website which is an iPhone 5 fan forum. This site
discusses various topics on the updates and features of the upcoming phone that
are under speculation. Though this act of Apple creates solid conjectures on
the possible name of the iOS smartphone, it could even be just a move by the
company to protect the world at large from scams which would target unwary
Apple fans.<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"> </b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Speculations Pile on about
iPhone 5’s New Look</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The modern version of iPhone 5 is believed to be longer and
thinner than its predecessor iPhone 4 and 4S. Speculated measurements arrive approximately
at 125mm by 58.5mm by 7.4mm, which makes the new generation iPhone
significantly thinner and longer but the width of the phone remains the same. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Since there is not going to be a change in the width of the
display it is reasonable to predict that the aspect ratio of the display is
going to change for the first time since the original iPhone was introduced in
2007. Similar changes happened during the shift from the fourth generation iPod
Nano to the fifth which did not affect any 3rd party software but
such a drastic shift in aspect ratio will definitely have its influence on the
software developed for the new phone, this has to be considered with utmost
care by all the iPhone 5 app developers and<a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" target="_blank"> iPhone 5 app programme</a>rs.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Apple is Looking
Ahead</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
With various speculations and predictions going around
iPhone 5 fans and <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" target="_blank">iPhone 5 app developers</a>, Apple needs to be conscious about
each and every aspect of the phone to provide for all expectations.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
All major ecommerce platforms are developing themes exclusively for Apple
iPhone and Magento is no exception. This step towards this platform is the
first one to attain a stronghold in a potential market which as of now has
small scale retailers trying to reach the mobile eCommerce market.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<b>Potential of Mobile eCommerce Market</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
Mobile ecommerce which is also being called as eCommerce is growing
rapidly. But the rectifiable drawback of mobile ecommerce is that it can get a
tad frustrating for the customer and developing mobile ecommerce websites that
are legible and competent has been the most taxing task for <a href="http://www.dckap.com/magento-commerce.htm">Magento developers</a>.
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ-jKQTAzcVIp82XJ41WkIZ_8PZGjF_DDFPXst9ZLXAM-QkpN_N3nnNxfgyGU7KSzyFmr1GaTClv8bjXj1I1lmsthDtQf5wq3-CPeNK01jwj8bOd-kl_qRjPrfBrr0TI_7yOqeRZUiZnQ/s1600/PeC-magento-iphone-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ-jKQTAzcVIp82XJ41WkIZ_8PZGjF_DDFPXst9ZLXAM-QkpN_N3nnNxfgyGU7KSzyFmr1GaTClv8bjXj1I1lmsthDtQf5wq3-CPeNK01jwj8bOd-kl_qRjPrfBrr0TI_7yOqeRZUiZnQ/s1600/PeC-magento-iphone-1.jpg" /></a>
Rendering of websites is already done is a competent way in the <a href="http://www.apple.com/in/iphone/">Apple iPhone</a> but displaying online stores have been predominantly designed for flat
widescreens which are of size 19 inches diagonally. While these sites
are rendered properly on the iPhone, they take on diminutive dimensions,
requiring an iPhone owner to zoom in, zoom out, and scroll in all directions. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
iPhones use WiFi connections (802.11n
standard), Bluetooth (radio), fast 3G cellular networks, or older and slower
cellular based networks depending on what sort of connection is available at a
given time. If the sites are loaded using a fast Wi-fi or 3G network then there
should not be a problem but when these sites are accessed via a slow cellular
network then loading them will be painstakingly slow.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
To tackle these hurdles Magento
developers have developed templates, presentations, layout combination and
themes exclusively for the iPhone’s browser. With these development from the
Magento developers, great looking graphics, full functionality, and the same
payment gateways, can be accessed through the iPhone browser.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Equalizing
eCommerce</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
Independent retailers can utilize this
new Magento’s theme for iPhone to tap m-commerce’s extensive potential. The
already present navigation tools and browser in Apple’s iPhone is efficient
enough to display and help customers to go through pages at ease. The iPhone
Magento extension delivers a user experience that supports the iPhone's
touch-screen functionality, taking users on a clearly defined path from
browsing to purchasing. With the up scaled database of iPhone users the market
for online customers is also increasing.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
The new Magento extension for iPhone
helps users to check products in a layered way which helps the customer to
customize settings for them. The time taken for customers to tap on a product
and choose it also reduces with such customized viewing options and it is also
optimized in such a way that products can be chosen with a single click.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">Using
the iPhone Theme to Gain a Competitive Advantage</b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
It is an obvious fact that m-commerce
is growing exponentially and rapidly the concern should be to those not
adopting these advancements as they will stay behind from the market and
competitors who are adopting wisely. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.dckap.com/magento-commerce.htm">Magento Programmers</a> are looking to
enhance their applications which have been built for other platforms too but as
Apple iPhone covers almost 49% of smart phone users this step of acquiring the
iPhone market will be the biggest enhancement that the developers make even if
they can cover the majority of other smart phone applications. </div>

Android is open source platform and provides all information and
services to all sans any license fees. It has capacity of getting
compatible with almost all browsers hence you can make it compatible
with any browser. Competition between mobile developers is increasing
due to new versions of mobile platforms developed in the market. No
doubt that everyone wants to and tries to corner Androids sizable
portion of market share. This open source platform attracts android
application developers to build fabulous mobile applications. This is
the main reason for Android, since its launch Android has become vastly
popular and admired by many mobile application development communities.<br />
<br />
Android mobile platform consists of Android operating system and Android
SDK as well as android middleware. SDK is the basic platform which
provides <b><a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">android app developer</a></b>
required tools and technical support for developing apps and APIs. The
best thing about Android is, it is based on Linux platform hence it
facilitates absolutely easy accessibility to environment and the core
functionality for building fabulous applications for the smart mobile
phones. It has capacity of scaling up from its current level and
provides the best solutions.<br />
<br />
Android platform is powerful in providing accurate information required
by users with quick information gathering techniques. It has capacity of
greatly reducing development time and efforts required and this helps
in completing the project quickly and easily. This will help you to stay
ahead of your competitors all the time. Android Development tools are
easy to use and implementation so any <b><a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">android app programmer</a></b>
can use this platform quire easily. It does not require learning any
language for Android application development and one can easily perform
better with the existing knowledge and ability or qualification. The
following are the reasons why it is preferred by many of the Android
developers / users:<br />
<br />
* Biggest advantage is Android is an open platform and free. So many
manufacturers can design a variety of software loaded on the Android
system.<br />
<br />
* Android display system can be changed to horizontal or vertical, making it easier for the user in finding an adequate picture.<br />
<br />
* If one has a phone with Android consistently then s/he can download
and install several free programs for Android and can open many windows
at once.<br />
<br />
* Many Android applications have been, until April 2011 has reached
250,000 applications for Android. With the support of many applications,
the user can change the screen display.<br />
<br />
* Android phones can also function as a router to share Internet.<br />
<br />
* The ability for anyone to customize the Google Android platform will
open up the applications playing field to small and new players who lack
the financial muscle to negotiate with wireless carriers like AT&T
and Orange.<br />
<br />
* The consumer will benefit from having a wide range of mobile applications to choose.<br />
<br />
* Although this will depend on the carrier, one will be able to
customize a mobile phones using Android platform like never before,
right down to the screen.<br />
<br />
* Features like weather details, opening screen, live RSS feeds and even
the icons on the opening screen will be able to be customized.<br />
<br />
* As a result of many mobile phones carrying Android, companies has come
up with such innovative products like the location aware services that
will provide users with any information they might be in need of.<br />
<br />
* This information could help developing further apps like knowing the
location of a nearby convenience store or filling station.<b> </b><br />

<b>Marketing the Steve Jobs Factor</b><br />
Steve Jobs the visionary who played a major role as an entrepreneur,
designer and inventor, is said to have contributed immensely to the
upcoming iPhone 5 before his demise in October 2011. This new iPhone 5
has been discussed to have a bigger screen than its predecessor and is
expected to hit the market with various state of the art enhancements.<br />
<br />
Despite statistics showing a 2 percent decline in mobile phone sales in
the first quarter of 2012, these updates on the upcoming phone seem to
increase the excitement amongst iPhone 5 fans and <b><a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone app programmer</a></b>.
With news such as Steve Jobs involvement in the project doing the
rounds, the expectation for the phone has reached the clouds.<br />
<br />
<b>First Quarter of 2012 Sees Sales Decline</b><br />
The decline in mobile sales in the first quarter of this year is
attributed towards the lack of demand from the Asia/Pacific region. But
the sales during the later part of the year are expected to break
records with respect to the release of the new iPhone 5 in the Western
Europe and North American regions. Surprisingly it is also noticed that
Apple sales in China has been particularly strong even though factions
of iPhone fans and <b><a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone app developers</a></b> are holding up plans of upgrading hoping for an immediate release of iPhone 5.<br />
<br />
RIM, Nokia, Motorola, LG, and HTC all saw their share of the market
shrink when compared to the first quarter of 2011. Global sales of
mobile devices declined more than expected due to a slowdown in demand
from the Asia/Pacific region, said Gartner analyst Anshul Gupta.<br />
<br />
The first quarter of a year is considered to be the strongest point for
mobile and other electronic device sales which consists of various
holidays which include the Chinese New Year during which the overall
sales reaches the peak. This decrease in sales has been due to the lack
of new devices released by the leading companies as most of them are in
the process of developing the next revolutionary device. Many users have
also delayed their upgrade to a better phone hoping that a better deal
will come later this year as many leading companies have announced their
future releases like Apples iPhone 5.<br />
<br />
<b>Apples Market Still Strong Despite Decline in Overall Mobile Sales</b><br />
Research indicates that Apple has sold approximately around 33.1 million
iPhones in just the first quarter of 2012 which puts it in the 3rd
position out of all mobile device manufacturers, below Samsung and
Nokia. The interesting point here is both Samsung and Nokia manufacture
both smart phones and regular handsets where as Apple produces only
iPhone and its versions. This shows a constant increase in the number of
iPhone users and the decrease in other smart phone and regular handset
users.<br />
<br />
Apples iOS saw a year-over-year increase from 16.9% share in the first
quarter of 2011 to 22.9% share to kick off 2012. Apple and Samsung
accounted for 49.3% of all smartphone sales worldwide. This is above the
29.3% the two collectively represented in the first quarter of 2011,
notes the report.<br />
<br />
<b>New OS an Added Advantage</b><br />
The launch of the latest iPhone will also likely coincide with the
release of the updated iOS 6 mobile operating system, which Apple may
preview at its upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.
Among the biggest changes to the operating system could be the
replacement of Googles mapping technology for a brand-new in-house maps
application using 3D mapping technology by C3 Technologies, which the
company acquired in 2011. The app will be similar in look and feel to
the Google Maps app, but will provide a faster, cleaner and more
reliable user experience, according to reports<b> </b><br />

The website <a class="skimwords-link" data-group-id="0" data-skim-creative="10202" data-skim-product="0" data-skimwords-id="1825891" data-skimwords-word="sw-box.com" href="http://sw-box.com/" style="text-decoration: underline !important;" target="_blank" title="Shopping link added by SkimWords">SW-BOX.com</a>
released this news of the leak and as the site is an online vendor it
started selling these components immediately. Though this is not the
first news about iPhone components leak, these new parts that are
supposedly available seem to have attracted more iPhone application
developers and <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone app programmer</a> as these components can be attributed to the applications they are planning to develop.<br />
<br />
<b>The 3 New Leaked Components and Their Value</b><br />
If the new components are legitimate then it becomes evident that there
is going to be a significant change and departure from the current
component regulation which is currently present in the existing versions
of iPhone. In the iPhone 4 and 4S, the headphone jack, volume buttons,
and mute switch are grouped together on a single component, while this
new part associates the headphone jack with the earpiece speaker and
Wi-Fi cabling.<br />
<br />
The components, for sale at $US7.71 on SW-Box, differ from the previous
iPhones in which the headphone jack is located near the volume buttons
and mute switch. The leaked headphone jack appears to be attached to the
earpiece and Wi-Fi components, suggesting enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity
with minimal interference and, potentially, a new shape. The leak
suggests the design of the iPhone 5 has been finalised and is on its
way. Apple has not announced whether it will debut at its WWDC on June
11th.<br />
<br />
<b>No Details on iPhone 5s New Look</b><br />
Though these parts have been clearly explained with their working
structure and procedure, they give no insight towards the configuration
or the basic model of the much anticipated smart phone, iPhone 5.
According to a recent report from this technical website called
iMore.com, which specializes in the specifications and news related to
Apple and its products, Apple still has not zeroed in on the final
design, structure and configuration of the avant-garde smart phone.<br />
<br />
iMore.com has been a reliable source of information about Apple
products, so if information from that site has to be relied on then <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone app developers</a>
do not have much worries as it is believed that the screen size of the
new iPhone will not be more than four inches. But there are other
speculations contradicting this status saying that Apple still has not
decided upon the exact dimensions of the screen.<br />
<br />
<b>The Improved Dock Connector</b><br />
It is also theorized that the new device will feature a smaller dock
connector which is still under the process of development. A dock
connector is a connector used to attach a mobile electronic device
simultaneously to multiple external resources this connector may be
embedded in a mechanical fixture used to support or align the new iPhone
device. With Apple scraping the 30-pin dock connector, it is now
expected to find a solution soon. And with regards to that Apple has
signed-up to a European agreement to deploy micro-USB as interconnect
for its devices, but hasn't done anything to adopt it. This may be
because of the fact that Apple wants to go cable-free. The main reason
for the abandoning of the 30-pin connector is that Apple intends to use
that space inside the machine various other technologies so it is not
very wise to expect Apple to add an additional tool to enable the
former. <br />
<br />
As speculated earlier the home button is now not expected to be
different from the existing one and the traditional, circular home
button is now said to be sustained in this version too. With as many as
a hundred speculations rising their way to the ears of iPhone fans and
iPhone app developers, per day, it is not very clear on the path and
procedure of Apple towards iPhone 5. But if we are to trust sources
which have been trustable in the past then this new device is definitely
on its way to revolutionize the workings and the fundamental quality of
smart phones.</div>Flex Developer, Joomla Web Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01525804110984535073noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-476629499593392724.post-834444931143506642012-05-24T23:15:00.001-07:002012-05-24T23:15:34.072-07:00Best Android Apps For Business In 2012<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

when a user gets to the office or into ringer mode when s/he arrives at
home. Aside from adjusting your phone's settings depending on your
location, Locale has power-conserving feature, when enabled,
automatically turns off components that requires high power (Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth) when handset's battery level is low.<br />
<br />
<b>DOCUMENTS TO GO</b> <br />

need not have to keep track of paper business cards from conferences or
meetings. <br />
<br />
<b>GOOGLE VOICE</b> <br />
Google Voice service unifies all phone numbers and sends SMS messages
via e-mail, while offering low-cost international calls. Using Android
phone, user can use Google Voice to get e-mail containing transcribed
voicemail, make calls from his/her unique Google number, and embed
voicemail messages to share. Even better, Google Voice integrates
natively with the users phone's address book.<br />
<br />
<b>AK NOTEPAD</b> <br />
Leave your jotter behind: AK Notepad is just the app for quick notes on

it can also behave as a remote control for the presentation, allowing
the user to move from slide to slide by swiping the screen. Preview of
slides could be done using Scatterslides. The app supports Microsoft
PowerPoint and OpenOffice Impress files, complete with embedded
animations, audio, and video.</div>Flex Developer, Joomla Web Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01525804110984535073noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-476629499593392724.post-45643739169776378832012-05-22T03:28:00.004-07:002012-05-22T03:28:46.935-07:00iPhone 5 – New Aspect Ratio for the 1st Time<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
Speculations surrounding iPhone 5 are numerous and there are only a
few which even make sense. There is not going to be any reason to
believe certain rumors like “iPhone 5 Comes with a QWERTY key pad” but
on the other hand it is definitely reasonable to follow some
speculations and iPhone 5 app developers and <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm">iPhone app programmers</a> definitely need their share of heads up so that they can be with the bells on when they have to get into action.<br />
<br />
Jeremy Horwitz, Editor-in-Chief of iLounge, has stated that “. . .
the new iPhone will indeed be longer and thinner than the iPhone 4 and
4S. Approximate measurements are 125mm by 58.5mm by 7.4mm—a 10mm jump in
height, nearly 2mm reduction in thickness, and virtually identical
width. According to our source, Apple will make one major change to the
rear casing, adding a metal panel to the central back of the new iPhone.
This panel will be flat, not curved, and metal, not ceramic.”<br />
<br />
If the speculations obtained from iLounge are true then a brim level
drawback does arise for the iPhone 5 app developers and programmers.
That is, the aspect ratio of the iPhone franchise has never changed
since it was first released in 2007, but now with the change in height
of the display and the untouched width size the aspect ratio is
definitely bound to change. So with this viewpoint the <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm">iPhone app developers</a>
have to make sure that the apps they are developing or intending to
develop must be compliant to the new dimensions of the smart phone.<br />
<br />
iPhone 5 application developers developing applications or even
planning to develop without having an insight on the next generation
smart phone should expect to be surprised, where as the ones
anticipating such changes and working towards the scalability of their
products will find themselves to be in a more secure premise with
respect to upcoming iPhone 5.<br />

The wait for iPhone 5 has been long and tedious but the speculations
make the wait exciting. With 50% of mobile subscribers owning smart
phones the expectation, for Apple iPhone 5 to hit the market and
increase the number of smart phone users further, is definitely not low.<br />
<br />
<b>Apples Intention</b><br />
Apple is believed to intend to increase its share of number of users
using smart phones into multiple times with its release of iPhone 5.
Statistics show that 50.4% of all mobile users are using smart phones
and that number has been further classified into the Operating Systems
being used. Amongst smart phone users 48% seem to be using the Android
platform, 32% seem to be using the iOS platform and the rest seem to use
the Blackberry and other miscellaneous platforms.<br />
<br />
With this statistical report confirming Apple a second place, Apple is
now keen on multiplying the number by adding attributes to the iPhone 5
which will improve the already surrounding excitement. And <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone app developers</a>
are looking and scavenging for each and every minute detail which will
help them to be on their toes when the phone gets released.<br />
<br />
<b>Expectations Rise due to Other Phones</b><br />
With the release of another much awaited phone which was expected to be
as good as iPhone 5, the expectation for iPhone 5 has only increased. As
that phone has not met the requirements and the expectations users are
eagerly looking forward for the release of the iPhone 5. Apple is
expected to upgrade to a 1Gb RAM only and not a 2GB RAM as the processor
which is believed to come along is a A5X or A6 processor (possibly
quad-core).<br />
<br />
The display is expected to be bigger than, the last version and, the
other smart phones available in the market. iPhone app developers are
looking forward to developing applications with respect to the display
which is believed to be better than the already existing Retina Display
which now has a crystal clear display which makes the user read, see and
watch with hundreds of pixels more.<br />
<br />
<b>Apples Quest for iPhone5.com Domain</b><br />
Apple seems to have filed a case with World Intellectual Property
Organization to gain access to the domain name iPhone5.com. Currently
this domain is being used by a website which is an iPhone 5 fan forum.
This site discusses various topics on the updates and features of the
upcoming phone that are under speculation. Though this act of Apple
creates solid conjectures on the possible name of the iOS smartphone, it
could even be just a move by the company to protect the world at large
from scams which would target unwary Apple fans.<br />
<br />
<b>Speculations Pile on about iPhone 5s New Look</b><br />
The modern version of iPhone 5 is believed to be longer and thinner than
its predecessor iPhone 4 and 4S. Speculated measurements arrive
approximately at 125mm by 58.5mm by 7.4mm, which makes the new
generation iPhone significantly thinner and longer but the width of the
phone remains the same. <br />
<br />
Since there is not going to be a change in the width of the display it
is reasonable to predict that the aspect ratio of the display is going
to change for the first time since the original iPhone was introduced in
2007. Similar changes happened during the shift from the fourth
generation iPod Nano to the fifth which did not affect any 3rd party
software but such a drastic shift in aspect ratio will definitely have
its influence on the software developed for the new phone, this has to
be considered with utmost care by all the iPhone 5 app developers and <a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone app programmers</a>.<br />
<br />
<b>Apple is Looking Ahead</b><br />
With various speculations and predictions going around iPhone 5 fans and
iPhone 5 app developers, Apple needs to be conscious about each and
every aspect of the phone to provide for all expectations.<br />

<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Next to Ice cream sandwich
it is going to be Jelly bean. Yes, that's right, the latest Android5
aka Android Jellybean is the most hyped amongst various <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm">android app developers</a>.
The Android 2.x series started when Android 2.0 Eclair was released at
the end of 2009. By the end of 2010, Froyo and Gingerbread (Android 2.2
and 2.3) were released and remained the dominant versions used until
today. Since then, Google has released Android 3 (Honeycomb) and Android
4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"></span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> <b>ANDROID JELLY BEAN: KEY FEATURES</b></span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Google released its Chrome internet browser app for devices running
Ice Cream Sandwich, so it is expected to see Chrome become the default
browser for Android Jelly Bean too. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> As enormous screens
start to keep onto more and more phones, it'd be nice to be able to flip
it into landscape mode and use it like a tablet especially as Android
5.0 will be designed to run on phones and tablets, like its previous
versions. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> Dual-core and quad-core processors are now a big
hype in the smartphone category, it is expected that Android Jelly Bean
might optimize these super quick chips and provide a fluid and speedy
experience. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> More power means more demand on the battery and Android 5.0 is speculated to make sure to provide maximum battery life. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> Android Jelly Bean is expected to be competitive in its pricing compared to that of Windows Phone Tango OS. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;">
The feature, lock screen widgets, which HTC users would be familiar
could be made a permanent option with Android Jelly Bean. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;">
Churning more and more files onto our devices becomes increasingly
tricky to keep track of everything. Some manufactures offer file
managers as part of their user interfaces, but Android currently lacks
its own dedicated file manager, something Android 5.0 can hopefully
solve. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> Android tablets or smartphone owners are practically
exploit for keyboards choices. In the absence of any Google designed
keyboard, Swype and Swiftkey have stepped up to the task and have
provided high quality keyboards. Though Google should not bereft users
to use these keyboards but a standard keyboard in the Android OS itself
will solve some issues. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> <b>ANDROID JELLY BEAN: MANUFACTURER COMMITMENTS</b> </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;">LG guarantees an update of Android Jelly Bean for all of its 2012
handsets which are able to support version 5.0. Asus has also made it
clear that it wants to be the first company to offer devices running
Android 5.0, after leading the way with Android Honeycomb and Ice Cream
Sandwich updates. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> <b>ANDROID JELLY BEAN: RELEASE DATE</b> </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Some rumors have suggested that we could see <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm">Android app programmer</a>
make its way onto handsets as early as Q2 this year. There is also some
slight more believable speculation that Android Jelly Bean will arrive
towards the end of this year as Google looks to continue with its annual
roll-out of software updates. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> Google has said that it will
be flexible with the Android Jelly Bean release date and it might differ
from previous releases depending on how long it takes to finish the
update. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

DCKAP has been a reliable and most sought after companies for
developing application for the famed iPhone. As the world waits for the
release of iPhone5 there are herds of people developing applications
for the already existing versions of iPhones. Not just huge companies,
independent <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm">iPhone app developers</a>
all around the world are coming up with innovative ideas for
applications. In this race against time and almost an entire race, DCKAP
is said to have sustained its market as a visionary.<br />
<br />
Though there was a slight commotion pile on when iPhone 4S released
when everyone was looking forward for the iPhone 5, people realized its
prowess and went ahead and made a huge success out of it. And demand
for the applications developed by DCKAP for it has been on the rise on a
brisk pace.<br />
<br />
iPhone 5 is expected to incite excitement since the moment it is
unpacked. The latest speculation from reliable sources says that the
new iPhone 5 may be housed in a little-known hi-tech alloy known as
‘liquid metal’. This hi-tech substance is an alloy of titanium, nickel,
copper and zirconium and other such metals which when touched feels
like glass and weighs comparatively very less.<br />
<br />
The reason for the delay of iPhone 5’s release is said to be the wait
for the LTE version and because of this iPhone will not be available
in markets before the later part of 2012. Senior analysts involved in
the tracking of companies that supply chips that power the 3G and 4G
technologies in mobile devices say that apart from other features LTE
exponentially enhances the upload and download speeds when compare with
the current 3G technologies. Though currently certain mobile devices
have been installed with the LTE technology tech pundits say that the
currently available resources are fallible infront of Apple’s standards.<br />
<br />
Even though DCKAP has been developing applications for iPhones since
the beginning of time, the new upgrades of iPhone are something to be
caught up with and to enable and provide constant services to its
customers DCKAP has enhanced its resources and team with new recruits
and discussion groups for the existing team. With the rise of demand
has been swift and diverse the level of competence acquired by DCKAP
through years of experience always facilitates it to accomplish tasks
effectively.<br />
<br />
Developing applications for iPhone needs an acute programming
knowledge in Java or Xcode or such developing kits to challenge the
breakneck pace of increasing demands and changing technologies. And
discovering the right team for custom requirements is a task by itself
but without which competent business applications cannot be built.<br />

What we’ve learned: the new iPhone will indeed be longer and
thinner than the iPhone 4 and 4S. Approximate measurements are 125mm by
58.5mm by 7.4mm—a 10mm jump in height, nearly 2mm reduction in
thickness, and virtually identical width. According to our source, Apple
will make one major change to the rear casing, adding a metal panel to
the central back of the new iPhone. This panel will be flat, not curved,
and metal, not ceramic.</blockquote>
A <i>The Verge</i> reader, Tom Collins, first posited the <a href="http://www.imore.com/2012/04/10/iphone-5-4inch-screen-keeping-4s-footprint/">16:9, 4-inch screen possibility</a> almost a month ago and <i>Daring Fireball</i>‘s
John Gruber lent his support to the notion. If Apple goes with it, they
could simply lengthen the iPhone, or they could also make changes to
the bezel and Home button to better optimize it.<br />
iMore first broke the news about a <a href="http://www.imore.com/2012/02/23/apple-ready-ditch-traditional-dock-connector/">new, smaller dock connector</a>
a couple of months ago so it’s good to see some additional support for
the idea. It makes sense since space will be at a premium, especially
with <a href="http://www.imore.com/2012/03/23/iphone-iphone-51-coming-fall-2012-lte-similar-sized-screen/">an LTE radio</a>.<br />
<br />
Rumors of a return to the metal backplate have been around for years,
probably since the day after Apple dumped the original iPhone’s casing
for the plastic of the iPhone 3G. Having metal-on-glass, the inverse of
Apple’s current glass-on-metal aesthetic, looks a bit odd. But so did
the iPhone 4 design when it first leaked. Likely radio transparency will
dictate the final composition.<br />
<br />
Gorilla Glass 2 has been speculated since Corning <a href="http://www.imore.com/2012/01/10/gorilla-glass-2-sheds-20-thickness-strength/">showed off their next generation material</a> at CES 2012 earlier this year.<br />
<br />
So, overall, <i>iLounge</i> backs up a lot of what we’ve already
heard. But here’s the caveat: Apple has had several different iPhone
prototypes in the works at the same time in the past. Sometimes there
are more ambitious and more conservative prototypes. It’s the way Apple
works. (There’s an old cliche about 10 designs, 3 prototypes, 1
product.)<br />
<br />
Last year, prior to the iPhone 4S launch, a lot of information leaked about a <a href="http://www.imore.com/2011/10/02/setting-expectations/">radical redesign for 2011</a>
as well. So while we’re starting to hear similar information from
multiple sources, it’s always important to remember that nothing about
the new iPhone, or any new device, is certain until Apple holds it up on
stage, likely <a href="http://www.imore.com/2012/03/23/iphone-iphone-51-coming-fall-2012-lte-similar-sized-screen/">this fall</a>.<br />

Fremont, CA April 26, 2012 – Fremont based global technology services
company DCKAP announced today that it has upgraded its Android app
development service for business in keeping pace with surging market
growth.<br />
<br />
A large number of businesses are now actively contracting development
of mobile apps, realizing the potential for business growth and
profitability. Nielsen reported that Android was once again the dominant
mobile operating system among US mobile subscribers in the third
quarter, while Apple was still the largest smartphone maker. Nielsen
found that Android and iPhone users together downloaded 83 per cent of
all mobile apps downloaded in the month under review. During the past
several weeks, DCKAP has successfully completed and delivered a diverse
range of Android apps especially using the latest version, Android 4.0
(Ice cream Sandwich) for business application of its highly demanding
clients.<br />
<br />
Catalog Android App is the first product research app in the
promotional products marketplace that allows users to easily browse,
search and share digital catalogs from their Android phones. Today’s
promotional products buyers are more sophisticated than ever, and they
expect their marketing partners to embrace technology just as they have.
This Android App, the first product research app in the promotional
products marketplace, was created to adapt to the changes in the way
people are doing business, by providing a more mobile way to access
products virtually everywhere. This eliminates the need of carrying
print catalogs to sales meetings and allows distributors to serve their
clients more efficiently, effectively and professionally. The mobile
app optimizes for the smaller screen all that is available on the
catalog web site. Users can access the high-resolution digital catalogs
with a single tap, without the need to open a browser to search.<br />
DCKAP is a fully-equipped custom Android app development company with
a qualified and experienced Android app developer group having
executed phone applications using the latest, Android 4.0 for a diverse
range of clients. We possess Android software development capability
in Java Android programming and Android SDK.<br />
<br />
Programming for Android phones, tablets and other platforms is based
on fast-changing technology that requires up-to-date knowledge of
programming in Android Java and SDK. The best Android apps in the
market, the top <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm">Android app programmers</a>
and their apps, for Android phones most recently announced, run on the
Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich and exploit the full complement of its
rich features.<br />
Developing effective business apps requires specialized expertise in
the technologies. For a business considering contracting an Android app
development company or an <a href="http://www.dckap.com/android-app-development.htm">Android app developer</a>,
it would be of great significance to select the right developer
resources and setting out the specifications with clarity and
completeness.<br />

iPhone 4S is the phone that appeared when the whole world was looking
forward to the iPhone 5. There was no iPhone 5 in 2011 after all, but
the company did announce the iPhone 4S. However, the new iPhone 5 is
expected to make its debut in the middle 2012. It's most likely to be
launched at Apple's Worldwide Developer Event (WWDC), which usually
takes place in early June. It seems Foxconn is even gearing up for that
date. So all the latest information about iPhone 5 is gathered and
rounded them up below.<br />
<br />
<b>iPHONE 5 FORM FACTOR</b><br />
<br />
iPhone will be a completely new design with an entirely new casing.
Steve Jobs canned the new handset and opted for the iPhone 4S because of
the larger screen size of the new device. It is speculated that a new
size would create a two-tier iPhone ecosystem.<br />
<br />
<b>iPHONE 5 SPECS</b><br />
<br />
Apple may introduce a new quad-core CPU with its next iPhone release, as
all handsets that are to be released in 2012 will be with quad-core
processor. An increased memory is expected in the latest iPhone 5.<br />
<br />
<b>iPHONE 5 WILL HAVE 4G/LTE SUPPORT</b><br />
<br />
There are many 4G handsets announced in the US, so it is expected that the <b><a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone App Programmer</a></b>
supports 4G technologies. Will Strauss from analyst firm Forward
Concepts, stated that the next iPhone will feature LTE
technologies."They're saving iPhone 5 for the LTE version and that won't
be out until next spring, After new iPad was launched with 4G, it's
widely expected that 4G will come to iPhone 5. <br />
<br />
<b>PHONE 5 SCREEN</b><br />
<br />
The iPhone 5 might have a larger, 4-inch screen; this is because to
support the tablet PC market as the vendor only has a 9.7-inch iPad in
the market. The iPhone 5 could feature a curved glass screen. Apple has
purchased between 200 and 300 special glass cutting machine. The new
iPhone 5 would come sporting a larger, 4.6-inch retina display. <br />
<br />
<b>iPHONE 5 DIGITAL WALLET NFC</b><br />
<br />
Apple is speculated to include Near Field Communication (NFC) technology
in the iPhone 5. It is reported that the Google Wallet mobile payment
platform could feature on the new iPhone. Eric Schmidt admitted that
Google is looking to port the software to other manufacturers. <br />
<br />
<b>iPHONE 5 CAMERA</b><br />
<br />
Sony made the camera for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. So there are
expectations that Sony will make camera for the most hyped iPhone 5.
Sources claim that the new iPhone could have an 8MP camera. Indeed, Sony
announced in January 2012 that it had developed new back-illuminated
stacked CMOS image sensors which are smaller in size. <br />
<br />
<b>iPHONE 5 PRICE</b><br />
<br />
iPhone 5 is expected to cost the same more or less as that as the iPhone
4S. iPhone 5 will cost around 500 for a 16GB / 32GB model and unless if
the iPhone 5 comes with some truly next generation technology that
pricing might vary drastically.<br />
<br />
Thus to add on to the speculation of the launch on June 15, 2012, there
is a claim, that the Foxconn factory is looking to hire up to 20,000 new
workers to replace its current on-strike worker base in order to
complete an order from Apple for <b><a href="http://www.dckap.com/iphone-app-development.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">iPhone App Developer</a></b> that need to be completed for a possible June 15 launch. Hope these workers gear up to meet the demand.<br />

Apple hasn’t previously permitted any apps that connect and interact to stock settings until now; so this is an interesting development. <br />
<blockquote>Did it take too many steps just to turn on/off bluetooth? You can now turn on/off just by launching this app. Just in a second, you can activate or deactivate Bluetooth.</blockquote><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmj4iBZQZXUHhLSOMQ7sriSCQMoq3vORVMgoomx0E4Xi38yQdxcPvMnLFb6AM-L6Com2iJ4pP8BVAevuCpc7rS_gMzpopRq94MdItdHzI5nWqIG-gSWAxEvWGCjK9mTcZAOFxSsbOSNyo/s1600/Bluetooth-OnOff-620x442.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmj4iBZQZXUHhLSOMQ7sriSCQMoq3vORVMgoomx0E4Xi38yQdxcPvMnLFb6AM-L6Com2iJ4pP8BVAevuCpc7rS_gMzpopRq94MdItdHzI5nWqIG-gSWAxEvWGCjK9mTcZAOFxSsbOSNyo/s400/Bluetooth-OnOff-620x442.jpg" width="400" /></a> The app is extremely simple to use, once installed you have an icon on your home screen. If you click on it, a screen loads with a Bluetooth toggle switch, you can then turn Bluetooth on. If Bluetooth is already turned on then loading the app will give you the option to turn it off. The best way of using the app is to go into the apps settings and turn the OnOff switch to on. This enables you to now toggle Bluetooth On / Off from your home screen with one tap of the app icon.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.imore.com/2011/11/24/add-settings-shortcuts-home-screen/">Shortcuts similar to this</a> were very popular when iOS 5 was initially launched. You could use Safari Bookmarklets to add various on/off settings to your home screen. This type of interaction was broken by Apple with the release of iOS 5.1.<br />
<br />
It is very interesting that this app is now available but we don’t know if it is a mistake by Apple. It may be pulled at any minute or it could be a sign that Apple is prepared to allow apps that make its users life easier. Let’s be honest, turning systems settings on and off should not be anywhere near as tedious as it is now.<br />
I hope that Apple finally addresses this problem with iOS 6. In the meantime let’s see if this app stays in the App Store. Maybe we will start to see more approved apps that allow us to toggle Wi-Fi and other system settings too.<br />

If you’ve neglected your news for the last seven days, take a few minutes to consider the following – everything else is a sideshow. There’s a considerable amount of hardware, software, modding and business news to cover in the Android world, so settle in. While no earth-shattering announcements were made this week, those who like big tablets and even bigger acquisitions should be well satisfied.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlZtOLTcl8pxtBJ2ikeTP_nM5D8EPuSTqzLRKtAIZY-SxFZn2TP8B8P93n6AN77CPZuoc_BKLaGYU8Arf3uW2FMDDAtCwlhlVq21cHIGvDgjT0ERgz3RBrd-ICo6FXmorjufW9FORIMzA/s1600/IMG_4711-540x3601.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlZtOLTcl8pxtBJ2ikeTP_nM5D8EPuSTqzLRKtAIZY-SxFZn2TP8B8P93n6AN77CPZuoc_BKLaGYU8Arf3uW2FMDDAtCwlhlVq21cHIGvDgjT0ERgz3RBrd-ICo6FXmorjufW9FORIMzA/s1600/IMG_4711-540x3601.jpg" /></a></div>One of the most interesting bits of hardware news came right away on Monday, when Toshiba announced <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/toshiba-unveils-7-7-10-and-13-inch-excite-tablets-running-ics-20120410/">brand new 7.7, 10 and 13-inch (!) tablets in their Excite line</a>. All three Tegra 3 ICS machines should be out by the summer. HTC had some rather humdrum announcements for <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-announces-a-trio-of-desire-phones-for-china-20120413/">new Desire phones in China</a>, and leaks are beginning to show off the low-end <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-golf-image-leaks-looks-like-a-mini-one-x-20120413/">HTC Golf</a> and Verizon’s <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/verizons-htc-incredible-4g-render-leaks-20120411/">HTC Incredible 4G</a>. Those waiting for the One S on T-Mobile won’t have to wait too much longer: a <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/t-mobile-gives-the-htc-one-s-a-launch-party-on-april-18th-20120411/">launch party</a> and <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-one-s-units-arrive-at-t-mobile-launch-date-impending-20120414/">dummy units</a> make the rumored April 25th date seem likely.<br />
<br />
As usual there’s a lot of movement in the Samsung camp: the Galaxy Tab 2 10-inch gets an official price of just <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/samsung-announces-galaxy-tab-2-10-for-only-399-may-13th-20120412/">$399 for the 8GB version</a>, and rumors indicate that even <em>more </em>7-inch and 10-inch tablets are coming under <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/samsung-7-and-10-inch-espresso-tablets-coming-in-june-20120413/">the “Espresso” label</a>. Finally, the <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/samsung-galaxy-note-10-1-may-get-redesign-before-release-20120412/">Galaxy Note 10.1</a> may not be in its final form just yet. Both Lenovo and Barnes & Noble are showing off new devices, the former with <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/lenovo-shows-ideatab-s2109-with-43-screen-and-ice-cream-sandwich-20120409/">a new IdeaPad 10-inch tablet</a> and the latter with <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/nook-simple-touch-announced-with-glowlight-for-139-coming-may-1st-20120412/">a lighted version of the Nook Simple Touch</a>. LG’s new <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/lg-optimus-l7-coming-this-month-l5-to-arrive-in-may-20120415/">Optimus L7 is coming to France this month</a>, with its little brother the Optimus L5 following in May. A pair of smartwatches made splashes, Sony’s <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/sonys-bluetooth-xperia-smartwatch-now-shipping-in-the-us-20120412/">Xperia SmartWatch</a> for coming to the US, and the brand-new <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/pebble-combines-bluetooth-smart-watch-and-e-paper-in-kickstarter-campaign-20120411/">Pebble e-ink smart watch</a> for getting an incredibly successful Kickstarter campagin. Finally, ASUS’ toned down <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/asus-transformer-pad-set-for-us-release-on-april-22nd-20120413/">Transformer Pad 300</a> will be here in the US by the end of the month. <br />

The Converge USB charging hub from Think Geek is a fun, futon-inspired stand for your iPhone, iPod tour or iPad. Working on an Apple mobile blog like iMore means you start to amass a lot of Apple mobile devices and even if I’m only using an iPhone and an iPad every day, keeping them both charged in an easy, elegant way has proven to be more of a challenge than I originally imagined. Converge looks like a great way to do just that.<br />
<blockquote> Converge is the futon of charging hubs. Its white folds remind us of a bendy futon mattress, but it has the added feature of a slot to slip in charging cables. With the help of soft TPE grips, cables stay nestled out of sight behind Converge. Just plug the power source into your nearest outlet and you can charge up to 4 USB devices while they chill out on Converge’s curvy frame.<br />
</blockquote>Hiding cables beneath the fold of the Converge is a great idea, and including 4 USB charging outlets makes it great for power gadget users, couples, and even families who need to keep a lot of devices at the ready. And if you’re cross-platform, it works with most other smartphones and tablets as well (though curiously not the Blackberry Torch, Blackberry Curve, or the Barnes & Noble Nook…?)<br />

So now it’s time to take me — and my iPhone — out to the ballgame! <br />
<br />
Ok, the season officially opened the other day, but the Red Sox play their first game today so that makes it the real opening day. Thankfully, baseball fans are never far away from the action if they have their trusty <a href="http://www.imore.com/ipad" title="ipad 3 page at iMore">iPad</a> or <a href="http://www.imore.com/iphone-4s/">iPhone</a> by their side. There are apps for watching baseball, scoring baseball, finding food at the ballpark, playing casual games, and managing the ever-important fantasy baseball team.<br />
Here are the home runs…<span style="font-size: small;"> </span><br />

The original game came out in 2004 for the PC, but noted Android developer Machineworks is bringing it back for a go-round on your phone or tablet under the name Painkiller: Purgatory HD. You can <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.machineworksnorthwest.painkillerp">pick it up in the Google Play Store for the odd price of $1.11</a>, and any device running Eclair or later can join in the fun. That said, you’ll probably want something with at least a 1ghz processor to get the best experience.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFKn_aiKGmI2gLIl1Gjb7rHUgS6cLx8poXPsUV5G6__GJs6lcp9-UvMINxHp2fs53isEGadX7MaWDDc5UZ9pvPa9fXWhKG9JUU9K7QVujlChrUlRZLI5eyaMGNS3FpAQHcD-6PpoK214Y/s1600/unnamed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFKn_aiKGmI2gLIl1Gjb7rHUgS6cLx8poXPsUV5G6__GJs6lcp9-UvMINxHp2fs53isEGadX7MaWDDc5UZ9pvPa9fXWhKG9JUU9K7QVujlChrUlRZLI5eyaMGNS3FpAQHcD-6PpoK214Y/s1600/unnamed.jpg" /></a></div><br />
The original Painkiller followed Daniel Garner, an admirable everyman who’s killed along with his wife in a traffic accident. While his wife floats on up to Heaven, Danny Boy is sent somewhere altogether hotter. He’s given a shot at release if he can kill four of Satan’s generals and avert a literal holy war, and with the help of some ridiculously over-the-top weapons he plows through armies of demons to claw his way out of Hell. With modern (for the time) graphics and classic “shoot everything that moves and everything else if you’ve got the ammo” gameplay inspired by The Duke himself, it won quite a lot of fans on the PC.<br />
<br />
Machineworks Northwest should give you pause, however. While <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/tag/duke-nukem/">Duke Nukem 3D</a> was highly anticipated in its Android release, its reception was somewhat chilly, after the developer embedded ads in a paid game <em>and </em>required in-app purchases for the complete original. Machineworks quickly removed the ads and Duke Nukem 3D is now a free download, but poor controls and general bugginess have earned it a less than stellar rating on the Google Play Store. It looks like Painkiller: Purgatory HD is a complete game after the initial purchase, so you shouldn’t have to worry about dipping into your wallet even further. Even so, you might want to wait for a couple of update cycles for the devs to iron out the bugs and add features like Xperia Play support.<br />

There have been many reports about Apple releasing a <a href="http://www.theipadguide.com/sections/ipad-mini">7.85-inch iPad mini</a>, or even increasing the <a href="http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/971852">screen size</a> of the iPhone this year, but this is the first time we've heard anything about a 5-inch device. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ9tR6Wl98-tIvsPqGKMqGc6BXrfD8IQuSOp25Nhud9k7QFtJ4lVXNGm3dMMNNYwHC2gKUWydZpbqZbB4yipo1RqOjiVEllrHHA3CuO0EKwg-5Yz1nhOnYWewXLW5j6fU60i5xOPefIfI/s1600/Samsung_Galaxy_Note.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ9tR6Wl98-tIvsPqGKMqGc6BXrfD8IQuSOp25Nhud9k7QFtJ4lVXNGm3dMMNNYwHC2gKUWydZpbqZbB4yipo1RqOjiVEllrHHA3CuO0EKwg-5Yz1nhOnYWewXLW5j6fU60i5xOPefIfI/s1600/Samsung_Galaxy_Note.jpg" /></a></div><br />
The Japanese blog , citing “reliable Chinese sources", said "Apple LCD is developing a 5-inch Retina display with a screen resolution of either 1,600-by-960 pixels or 1,280-by-960 pixels." It's unknown if the device is a tablet, phone, or combination of both like the Samsung Galaxy Note.<br />
<br />
Even though Apple is not known for following market trends, many tech analysts and industry insiders still believe that they're working on something to compete with smaller tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire, or larger Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. However, neither the rumored iPad mini or larger iPhone has ever been launched. Maybe that trend will end with the announcement of the iPhone 5 later this year, but a new 5-inch mystery device from Apple is kind of hard to swallow. <br />

The team at Imangi Studios has finally <a href="http://pressreleases.triplepointpr.com/2012/03/imangi-studios-brings-temple-run-to-the-android-marketplace-march-27/">announced an official release date</a> of the hugely popular game Temple Run for Android. We’ve mentioned it more than a few times before, and with huge responses and anger when it wasn’t released in February like promised. Sadly we’ll have to wait a few more weeks but it’ll be here soon enough.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnei3gM0fRqhBz4nOnSIahCL7cSP4D-LKBVD4Aup_jnX832tae9eAmRzl96LUeSSqRj7cf0Va0Ii2bL83wthTVTG9ysioTUMD-3stCJ1yxXYg-GXfl6kFUgrnDeFk1AE6L-B4pLo0YPho/s1600/Background-Image-540x318.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnei3gM0fRqhBz4nOnSIahCL7cSP4D-LKBVD4Aup_jnX832tae9eAmRzl96LUeSSqRj7cf0Va0Ii2bL83wthTVTG9ysioTUMD-3stCJ1yxXYg-GXfl6kFUgrnDeFk1AE6L-B4pLo0YPho/s1600/Background-Image-540x318.png" /></a></div>For some unknown reason this game has achieved a huge level of success being the top free and grossing app for iOS in January and passing over 40 million downloads. The wait for this game to hit Android has been a long one but I can happy say that Android will be running from Monkeys and enjoying Temple Run come March 27th and it will be completely free.<br />
<br />
Here is what Co-founder Keith Sheperd had to say:<br />
<blockquote>We are excited to finally share the Android release date with our fans who have been so enthusiastic and supportive of Temple Run. By expanding to more mobile devices, we hope to provide the same addictive and fast-paced gameplay to an entirely new group of players.</blockquote>So that’s it guys. No more rumors or suggestions of a February 9th launch or whatever the rumor was that had everyone up in arms. This comes from Imangi Studios themselves and remember, if you see Temple Run in the Android Market before March 27th most likely it’s a fake as we’ve seen a few of those the past couple of weeks. <br />

Angry Birds Space takes the game to an entirely new level, with physics that game designers actually discussed with NASA employees. The birds are still going after the pigs, but this time there are 60 levels in zero-gravity and on different planets.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVT7A90nPCACRKkFe4qWkeP3xZu_wfyW6G_LPtrwTqmFbhai35Si1Cs6TQl-Jiitdbl9ZgYUsVfr0ucksscBfMZLmCYpV4KtKsbY9OkvcIenCi-Plv-oVulX6-ZuXvHZHUZm3npEhjr9o/s1600/app-angry-birds-space-icon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVT7A90nPCACRKkFe4qWkeP3xZu_wfyW6G_LPtrwTqmFbhai35Si1Cs6TQl-Jiitdbl9ZgYUsVfr0ucksscBfMZLmCYpV4KtKsbY9OkvcIenCi-Plv-oVulX6-ZuXvHZHUZm3npEhjr9o/s1600/app-angry-birds-space-icon.jpg" /></a></div><br />
Angry Birds Space has been getting rave reviews and already in its first day on the App Store iOS device owners have rated the game at 4.5 out of 5 stars. In addition to hidden bonus levels, there are new birds and bird superpowers to be used against the pigs and their fortifications.<br />
<br />
For an extra $0.99 there's also an in-app purchase available that adds 30 extra levels, which Rovio calls the Danger Zone. Space Eagles can also be purchased or earned through playing the game, and these birds unleash a wormhole of destruction on the pigs. Rovio plans to provide free updates to Angry Birds Space, as they have with other games including Angry Birds and Angry Birds Rio.<br />
<br />
<i>After a giant claw kidnaps their eggs, the Angry Birds chase it into a wormhole and find themselves floating in a strange new galaxy – surrounded by space pigs! Luckily the Angry Birds have super powers of their own...</i><br />
<br />
Unlike the more terrestrial-oriented versions before, the path of your bird launch through space is helpfully guided by a laser-sight. The backgrounds and graphics that include everything from stars to atmospheres are a welcome refresh to the look of the series. Angry Birds Space is a $0.99 download for iOS 4.0 and later, compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. Angry Birds Space HD for the iPad runs $2.99.<br />
